Dr. Rajesh Mishra checked her eyes and discussed all her eye problems with her. Dr. Rajesh Mishra carried few special tests for her yes which is was necessary for the correct diagnosis of the eye. Gonioscopy and OCT tests and IOP (Intraocular measurement) were done.

Gonioscopy: It is a test done to study the drainage angle between the cornea and the iris using a lens-based device. It helps to identify angle closure glaucoma.

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography):-It is a non-invasive imaging test in which the light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye is visualised by the light waves.

After a thorough eye examination, Dr. Rajesh Mishra diagnosed the condition as Primary Angle Closure Suspect (PACS).

Primary Angle Closure Suspect (PACS):-It is a condition in which the filtering trabecular meshwork is not visible and there is the absence of peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS) with normal intraocular pressure.

Dr. Rajesh Mishra asked her to stop all the previous eye drops which she was using as it was making creating dryness of the eyes and was increasing the intraocular pressure of the eyes.  Then she was planned for Laser Peripheral Iridotomy.

On the day of operation Anuradha was taken in the operation theatre, an anesthetic drops were added in her eyes, then Dr. Rajesh Mishra started operating in her eyes, she was asked to focus in a beam light than a hole is created in the iris or coloured part of the eye to make an opening for the fluid (aqueous humour) to flow between the anterior chamber, the front part of the eye, the area behind the iris and the posterior chamber of the eye. Within 30 minutes Mrs Anuradha was out of the operation theatre. After the eye operation, Anuradha was asked to sit in the recovery room. Approximately after 40 minutes the intraocular pressure of the eyes was checked, which was found to be reduced.  She was administered few anti-inflammatory eye drops to prevent infection and swelling in the eyes.

Anuradha came for her follow up after a week in which her eyes were checked and test were carried to check the intraocular pressure in the eyes. The pressure in her eyes was reduced, she could see much clearly. She was advised to follow up every 3 months.
