He was in cloth retail and wholesale business which is highly competitive and kept him on his toes throughout to stay in the race.

With all the hustle he ended up with asthma; for which he was prescribed steroid inhalers. He started suffering from diminished vision 5 months ago. But he kept ignoring it and attributed it to his fatigue.

He was diagnosed to have Steroid induced Glaucoma which resulted in increased pressure in his eyes and was treated successfully at AEHI by Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Glaucoma and Cataract Surgeon at AEHI.

Mr Ram Tripathi was happy and shared his experience through his mail to Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute.

 How Blurred Vision affected me?

As a business man I have to travel all over Maharashtra and Gujarat for my work. I noticed issues with both my eyes where the side (peripheral) vision was getting blurry but due to my busy scheduled I ignored it. I landed in trouble since i couldn’t drive my car, or see anything clearly. It was a huge loss for my business. I was extremely frustrated with life. Just a year ago I underwent Cataract operation and thought that was all my eyes would have to go through. But this new problem made me feel unlucky.

My business partner suggested I visit Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute (AEHI) located at Sanpada, Navi Mumbai and said its one of the best eye hospital in Navi Mumbai with all the latest technologies and skilled Eye Specialists. Hence I decided to not waste time and have an Eye Specialist consultation so I booked an appointment at AEHI.

My Experience at AEHI:

As I reached AEHI, I went through few eye examinations which is when the optometrist referred me to Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Glaucoma and Cataract Surgeon at AEHI. Dr. Rajesh Mishra examined my eyes and noticed that the pressure in my eyes wasw beyond normal.

On further questioning; Dr. Rajesh Mishra found out that I was on Steroid Inhaler for quite sometime which did cure my asthma but also gave me glaucoma. It were these inhalers that led to increased pressure in my eyes and he diagnosed the condition as Drug Induced (Steroid) Glaucoma.

It came as a surprised that Steroid Inhaler can cause problems to the eyes. Dr. Rajesh Mishra explained how the Steroids affected my eyes and resulted in peripheral vision loss. Luckily there was a treatment for it. I had to consult my physician first to change the treatment for asthma due to side effect that I was facing. But since the pressure in the eye was too high an eye operation was necessary.

Dr. Rajesh Mishra explained about the treatment part and Glaucoma Operation (Trabeculectomy).  After the consultation with Dr. Rajesh Mishra, I felt i was in safe hands and decided to go ahead with glaucoma eye operation  without wasting much time as I couldn’t face more losses to my health and business.

What is Trabeculectomy?

It is a procedure for the reduction of intraocular (pressure in eye) pressure in patients suffering from glaucoma.

glaucomaBefore operation few more Eye examinations and other routine examinations were carried. On day of operation some drops were added in my eyes and then Dr. Rajesh Mishra started operating on my eyes. All I could understand were tiny instruments that helped in the eye procedure. After half hour Dr. Rajesh Mishra said the operation was done. I had some sutures in the eye but they would dissolve in few days. I was asked to come for a followup and my eyes were doing just fine. I was advised rest for a week and resumed complete work in 5 days.

Dr. Rajesh Mishra is an exceptionally skilled doctor and an excellent human being. I can say Dr. Rajesh Mishra is one of the best doctor at Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute and the staffs are very helpful and co-operative.

On my consecutive follow up visits; my eyes were examined by Dr. Rajesh Mishra which revealed that the pressure in my eyes has reduced. I can also tell the difference in my eyes for now I can see much more clearly.

Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute is the best eye hospital which has won my heart. Today I can see much more clearly and am back to my driving for my business tur without any fear, all thanks to Dr. Rajesh Mishra and Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute.
